Battery Replacement Instructions:
When the indicator light flashes on your pets receiver collar, or when the receiver no longer annunciates the beep tone at the perimeter line, it is time to order a replacement battery. Remove the metal battery cover (cover) by inserting a screw driver into the slot and then turn the cover counter clockwise until it becomes free of the receiver body. THE NEW BATTERY IS TO BE INSERTED WITH THE ‘THIS END UP’ (THE (+) POSITIVE END) FACING IN TOWARDS THE BATTERY CAP. Before closing the cover, make sure the black rubber “o-ring” is intact on the cover and is not damaged. With a small amount of inward pressure so as to compress the built in spring tension and to align the screw thread, the cover is then screwed back on clockwise. Sometimes turning the cover counter-clockwise first helps to find the proper thread alignment. Before using, confirm proper receiver operation by listening for the beep tone from the receiver when it is at the perimeter line. NOTE: THE USE OF IMPROPER BATTERIES IN YOUR PETS RECEIVER MAY CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE RECEIVER WHILE COMPROMISING YOUR PET’S CONTAINMENT.
Nylon Collar Replacement Instructions and USER DAMAGE WARNING:
When replacing a worn or damaged nylon collar note how the original collar was installed. To replace the collar, carefully turn each contact post counter-clockwise until it is separated from the pet fence receiver. You may carefully use a hand tool to help unscrew each contact post. Discard the old nylon collar. Close the clasp of the new collar. From the inside of the circle formed by the closed collar, install the plastic backstrip aligned with the collar holes. Insert the contact post through the backstrip and collar holes and tighten clockwise very carefullyto the receiver threads as to make a snug connection but not to over tighten. Use fingers to tighten the posts. You need to make sure the contact posts are not so loose as to unscrew on their own during daily receiver collar usage.
WARNING: USING A HAND TOOL TO TIGHTEN THE CONTACT POST MAY ALLOW ENOUGH STRAIN AS TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RECEIVER OR IT’S COMPONENTS.
BE CAREFUL AS THERE IS NO WARRANTY COVERAGE FOR THESE DAMAGES.
